The security and privacy of data is of significant importance to us and to those with whom we work. How we use personal information that we collect and personal information collected by our affiliates and business partners, and how we keep that information secure, is the subject of this Privacy Policy.
Our business partners include Trias Solutions, Inc., from whom we license our website platform technology and who provides services for us from time to time (medicaldiscountadvantage.com and its affiliates and business partners, like Trias Solutions, Inc., are referred to herein as “We”).
“Personal identifying information” (sometimes referred to as “PII”) refers to data that is unique to those we serve as business customers and their clients, and also end-users. PII includes information gathered from time to time such as name, birth date, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, passwords, codes, user profiles and other non-public personal identifying information.
If at any time you encounter circumstances where We request information that you do not want to share, or if you have any concern for the protection of your PII, contact us promptly to discuss your thoughts (see the ‘Contact Us’ section of this Privacy Policy, below. Your questions and input are welcome.
Information Collected and Its Uses
The activities in which We participate include performing services for clients and their customers and end-users, making information available for your use and for use by others in order to provide services to you, and licensing of products from others. These activities involve direct and indirect collection and use of PII through our hosted site(s) and also through communications received from mobile devices and other electronic or digital media. We do so in order to respond to inquiries, or to send information about a service or resource that is necessary or available for you, or in our efforts to make our services and access better. We will continue to send such information to the email or phone/text number(s) until we have received a request to stop, or We have received a request to opt out, or a change of contact information is provided. [See Your Information: Changes And Updates, below].
Sometimes We may review and use PII to determine if information that We make available is opened and used, or to solicit feedback through online surveys. Responding to surveys is optional.
We also collect electronic data about clients and their customers and end-users in an effort to provide a positive website experience, to improve and enhance products and services, and to report user activity requested by business partners. We use a variety of tools in order to do so, but none of the tools that We use are for the purpose of reading data residing on your computer or other devices.
Cookies
A “Cookie” is a file stored on your hard drive containing information about your computer, showing how and when visitors use the site. These can help, for example, to deliver advertisements, provide information about the numbers and frequency of visitors to the site, and save user preferences. We may use “Persistent Cookies” which remain after you leave our site, allowing us to recognize you during subsequent visits.
Cookies are generally used in the industry, and your web browser will usually be set to accept cookies unless you have altered the configuration of your web browser to reject all or some Cookies. Rejecting certain Cookies may affect your experience at our site, because you may not be able to access all features as fully as they have been designed for your use and for us.
We may also allow third-party cookies from advertising partners and affiliates to be used on our site. To opt-out of these type of cookies, visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website by contacting them with the following link: http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. Even if you opt-out through the NAI website, you can still receive communications you have signed up to receive from us unless you opt out of those by using the information in the Opting-Out and Updating Your Information sections of this privacy policy.
Web Beacons
We may also use “Web Beacons” (sometimes referred to as clear GIFs) to access Cookies and count users who visit the site or open HTML-formatted e-mail messages that We send. Web beacons are single-pixel graphic files with a unique identifier, similar to Cookies. Web beacons are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are stored on a user's hard drive. Like Cookies, you can modify your web browser settings to control web beacons.
Using Cookies and Web Beacons, We are able to track resources and data accessed on our own and hosted sites, to record site activity and statistics, to troubleshoot issues, to track the tools on our own and hosted sites that users are accessing, to determine when or if assessments or steps on a site are completed, and to evaluate and report participation in programs.
In sum, We may use PII, including IP addresses, to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the Website, and deliver customized content.
User information may be combined with this collected information for data analysis, marketing or reporting purposes, but only as provided by law.
Our Contracts With Third Party and Pii
We may contract with third parties to perform certain services on our behalf that require sharing your PII (including payment card information) with these third parties. When doing so, We require the third party vendors to maintain at least the same level of confidentiality that we maintain for your PII. We do not provide your PII to third parties unconnected with the services We provide. This means that your information is not sold, exchanged or given to any other company, for any reason, other than for the express purpose of delivering a product or service, without your consent.
Data Security and Storage of Information
We follow accepted industry standards designed to protect PII on our own and on hosted sites from accidental or unauthorized use, access or disclosure. We use technology designed for web servers and for products that are integrated with the products We offer and the products that We license from others. The PII resides in one or more secure databases behind firewall protections that permit access only with proper authorization. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology encrypts personal information if it is transmitted over the Internet. From time to time, We test or ask others to test, to determine if a breach of security measures is possible and to develop comprehensive recovery plans.
It is important to remember that you, as well, have responsibility for keeping non-public personal information secure from unauthorized access. You do this by (a) ensuring that account names and passwords are maintained confidential, and by (b) limiting access to data, codes, processes and information We provide to you for program participation, licensing and/or servicing agreements to only those who need to know such information and who have agreed to respect the confidentiality and integrity of that information, and by (c) not transmitting PII through unsecure sources or storing that information in unsecure locations.
Retention and Destruction of Data
We strive to comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to the length of time that We retain PII obtained and stored in electronic format, as well as laws and regulations governing the disposal or destruction of PII.
Other websites; Links
If We provide links on hosted websites to other sites, those websites may not be controlled by medicaldiscountadvantage.com or its business partners or affiliates. Therefore, We cannot guaranty those other websites or their content, and we cannot represent the extent of the confidentiality of PII that is provided by you to those other sites. Providing links to other websites does not mean that We endorse those sites. Please review the privacy and security policies and procedures followed by those sites and their hosts before you provide PII.

- Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data via advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers
By enabling these Google Analytics Advertising Features, We have enabled Google Analytics to collect data about the traffic to our website via Google advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers, in addition to data collected through a standard Google Analytics implementation. Note: We do not have any control over, nor do we supervise, Google Analytics or downloads offered by Google Analytics, or others, and therefore We do not have the ability to warranty anything that you may elect to download from such others, and We are not responsible for the results from such download(s).
